Position Title: Senior Design Engineer – Roads & Highways
We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Senior Design Engineer – Roads/Highways to join our multidisciplinary engineering team in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
This role is ideal for a civil engineer with deep expertise in road and highway design, regional infrastructure standards, and large-scale project delivery. You will be responsible for leading road design processes, ensuring adherence to regional standards, and collaborating with diverse teams to meet project delivery goals.
If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, have 10 to 12 years of experience specifically in roads and highways design, and have mandatory experience working on infrastructure projects within Dubai or Abu Dhabi, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Design Engineer – Roads & Highways, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Road Design Leadership
You will lead the design processes for roads and highways to meet management and project delivery schedules. You will ensure all designs are technically sound and cost-effective.
2. Technical Precision
You will maintain 100% precision in technical drawings, design calculations, and regional compliance documentation.
3. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
You will liaise with the human resources and multidisciplinary engineering teams (transportation, drainage, utilities, and structural) to facilitate professional organizational reporting and project synergy.
4. Technical Expertise
You will provide high-level technical expertise in road geometry, pavement design, intersection design, signage, lighting, and infrastructure planning.
5. Software Utilization
You will utilize digital information technology tools and advanced design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads) to simulate and optimize highway layouts.
6. Standards Compliance
You will ensure all designs comply with regional standards including Dubai RTA, Abu Dhabi DOT, and international guidelines (AASHTO, etc.).
