Job Overview
We are hiring an experienced and proactive HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental operations at a construction project located in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing workplace safety measures, conducting site inspections, managing risk assessments, and ensuring full compliance with UAE construction safety regulations.
This is a site-based role suited for professionals with strong leadership abilities, technical safety knowledge, and practical experience within the UAE construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct routine site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits across all project zones.
- Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi OSHAD requirements, UAE HSE regulations, and company safety policies.
- Implement preventive safety measures, emergency response procedures, and safe work practices.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and induction programs for site personnel.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases while preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, incident reports, and HSE documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and external authorities regarding safety matters.
- Monitor PPE usage and enforce safety procedures across the construction workforce.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE operations within construction or engineering projects.
- At least 5 years of UAE experience handling construction site safety and compliance.
- Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations, OSHAD standards, and risk management procedures.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and preparing technical safety reports.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multicultural teams.
- Knowledge of fire safety, scaffolding inspections, emergency response, and environmental protection practices.
