Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to manage freight forwarding activities, customs documentation, and cargo coordination operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures, shipping documentation, and port operations.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously, and experience coordinating with customs authorities, shipping agents, and transport partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily freight forwarding and shipment operations for import and export cargo.
- Handle customs clearance procedures and prepare all required shipping documentation accurately.
- Process approvals and documentation through Dubai Municipality and related government systems.
- Monitor cargo movements, container tracking, and terminal operations at DP World and Jebel Ali Port.
- Maintain organized shipment records, invoices, bills of lading, and logistics reports.
- Coordinate with clients, shipping lines, transport companies, and overseas agents regarding shipment updates.
- Communicate with customs officials and clearing agents to ensure smooth cargo release procedures.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, and operational challenges efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with UAE logistics regulations and company operational standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Customs procedures and customs clearance systems.
- Experience handling Dubai Municipality approvals and related documentation processes.
- Hands-on experience with DP World systems and Jebel Ali Port operations.
- Good understanding of import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, and LC procedures.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in English.
- UAE Driving License will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
