Position Titles: Senior GL Accountant & Senior Financial Analyst (2 Openings)
SSMC is seeking experienced finance professionals at the Assistant Manager level to join their growing finance team in Abu Dhabi. Two positions are available:

Position 1: Senior General Ledger Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End GL Management: Oversee the complete General Ledger function including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards. Ensure timely submission of statutory reports.
- Journal Entry Review: Review and approve journal entries for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Internal Controls: Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.
- Fixed Assets Management: Oversee fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
- Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
Position 2: Senior Financial Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles. Coordinate with department heads to gather inputs.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, variance reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Strategic Decision Support: Develop financial models to support business planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions.
- KPI Development: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with actionable insights.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize advanced Excel and financial systems to transform data into actionable business intelligence.
Shared Responsibilities (Both Positions)
- Fiscal Integrity: Maintain 100% data integrity in journal entries, financial models, GL records, and statutory reports.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with IFRS standards, healthcare industry regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Technology Utilization: Use digital information technology tools and advanced financial systems (ERP) to optimize reporting accuracy and organizational efficiency.

Requirements
To be considered for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements (Both Positions):
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
- Professional Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience Level: Proven professional experience specifically at an Assistant Manager or similar level within finance.
- Industry Experience: Healthcare industry finance experience is highly preferred.
- IFRS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and statutory reporting requirements.
- ERP Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Excel Expertise: Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, operational excellence, ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong organizational skills.
Senior GL Accountant Specific:
- Deep experience with month-end closing cycles

Senior Financial Analyst Specific:
