Position Title: Senior Data Engineer – Azure Cloud
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure technologies to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi.
This role is ideal for a data engineering professional who understands the complexities of modern cloud architecture. You will be responsible for developing advanced data pipelines, building scalable lakehouse architectures, optimizing cloud data warehouses, and implementing enterprise-grade solutions using tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer at CNS ME, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Designing Scalable Data Pipelines
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem. Your work will ensure that data flows reliably from source systems to analytics platforms, meeting both management and data integrity targets.
2. Building Lakehouse Architectures
You will implement modern lakehouse architectures that combine the flexibility of data lakes with the performance of data warehouses. You will ensure 100% data integrity across all structured and unstructured datasets.
3. Optimizing Cloud Data Warehouses
You will optimize Azure Synapse Analytics workloads for performance and cost efficiency. You will fine-tune queries, manage partitioning strategies, and monitor resource utilization.
4. ETL Orchestration with Azure Data Factory
You will use Azure Data Factory to build and orchestrate complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows. You will monitor pipeline executions, handle error logging, and ensure reliable data delivery.
5. Collaboration with Data Science Teams
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable, well-governed datasets for analytics and business reporting.
6. Data Governance and Security
You will implement best practices in data governance, security, and quality standards. You will monitor workflows to minimize system downtime and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
7. Technology Innovation
You will utilize modern IT tools including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics to optimize cloud transformation initiatives and produce professional technical documentation.
