Position Title: AR & Tax Controller
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and qualified AR & Tax Controller to join our Finance team in Dubai.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong expertise in accounts receivable, UAE VAT compliance, credit risk management, and tax regulations within the Pharma and FMCG distribution sector. You will be responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle, ensuring strict UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, managing credit exposure, and driving process automation.

Key Responsibilities
As an AR & Tax Controller, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Accounts Receivable Management
You will manage end-to-end accounts receivable and revenue cycles to meet management and collection targets. You will oversee invoicing, collections, and cash application.
2. UAE VAT Compliance
You will maintain 100% compliance with UAE VAT regulations, ensuring accurate filings, timely submissions, and audit readiness.
3. Corporate Tax Compliance
You will ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax laws and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
4. Credit Risk Management
You will monitor customer aging reports, assess credit risk, and manage credit exposure to minimize bad debts.
5. Internal Controls and Automation
You will liaise with the human resources department, sales, and IT teams to strengthen internal controls and support automation initiatives.
6. Cash Flow Optimization
You will monitor cash flow efficiency and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
7. ERP Management
You will utilize digital information technology tools and JDE (JD Edwards) ERP systems to optimize tax processes and professional financial record maintenance.
Requirements
To be considered for this AR & Tax Controller position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- Qualification: Must be CA, ACCA, or CPA qualified.
- UAE VAT Experience: Mandatory hands-on experience in UAE VAT compliance and filing.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of professional experience specifically within accounts receivable, credit control, and taxation.
- Industry Preference: Pharma or FMCG distribution experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in revenue cycles, intercompany reconciliations, and advanced Excel data handling.
- ERP Knowledge: Experience with JDE (JD Edwards) ERP is highly preferred.
- Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of Corporate Tax processes and UAE tax regulations.
