Position Title: Supervisor – Accounts (Oil & Gas)

We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and strategic Supervisor – Accounts to lead our core finance functions in Abu Dhabi.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with deep expertise in the Oil & Gas industry. You will be responsible for overseeing Oracle ERP operations, managing crude oil sales validation, leading monthly and annual financial closing processes, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and IFRS standards.

If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a mandatory professional certification (CA, CPA, or ACCA), have 10+ years of experience specifically in the Oil & Gas industry, and possess Oracle ERP expertise, we encourage you to apply.


Key Responsibilities

As a Supervisor – Accounts, your daily responsibilities will include:

1. Financial Transaction Management

You will supervise the accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions to meet management and statutory standards.

2. AP/AR and General Ledger

You will maintain 100% data integrity in AP/AR workflows, general ledgers, and inventory reconciliations.

3. VAT and Regulatory Compliance

You will liaise with the human resources department and auditors to manage VAT reporting, FTA submissions, and internal controls within the Oracle ERP system.

4. Crude Oil Sales Accounting

You will handle complex crude oil sales accounting, including sales document validation, cost transfers, and Head Office coordination.

5. Financial Closing

You will lead monthly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

6. Budgeting and Forecasting

You will prepare and analyze high-level financial data for budgeting and forecasting to optimize performance evaluation and professional organizational reporting.

7. Expenditure Monitoring

You will utilize digital information technology tools and ERP systems to monitor expenditure compliance against approved contracts and policies.


Requirements

To be considered for this Supervisor – Accounts position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Essential Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Professional Certification: Mandatory professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience specifically within the Oil & Gas industry. This is mandatory.
  • Oracle ERP Expertise: Strong background in Oracle ERP operations and system management.
  • Financial Closing: Strong background in management of financial closing cycles, complex cost transfers, and reconciliation.
  • UAE VAT Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations, FTA submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Accounting Standards: Thorough knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards.
  • Budgeting Skills: Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
  • Soft Skills: Operational excellence, ability to lead finance teams, advanced financial analysis skills, and strong organizational abilities.
