Position Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically proficient, and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to regulate food safety protocols and product compliance pipelines at our active manufacturing plant in Abu Dhabi.
This role is ideal for a quality professional who understands the complexities of food manufacturing, HACCP frameworks, ISO standards, and UAE food safety regulations. You will be responsible for material specification tracking, test data review, laboratory auditing, and ensuring full plant compliance with international and local standards.
If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field, have minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in food manufacturing or FMCG, and possess strong knowledge of HACCP and ISO 22000, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Technical Specification Development
You will develop, prepare, and update detailed technical specifications for incoming raw materials and finished food products. This ensures that all ingredients and outputs meet the required quality benchmarks before they enter or leave the production facility.
2. Regulatory Compliance Assurance
You will ensure full plant compliance with ISO 22000 standards, local municipal controls, and UAE food safety regulations. Staying current with regulatory updates is essential to maintain certification and legal operation.
3. Cross-Departmental Coordination
You will coordinate interactively with production, procurement, and R&D teams to verify accurate ingredient and product information. This cross-functional collaboration helps prevent quality issues before they arise on the production floor.
4. Laboratory Testing Coordination
You will liaise with laboratory testing units to monitor microbiological analysis, batch sampling, and product shelf-life studies. Accurate lab data is critical for validating product safety and consistency.
5. Floor-Level Safety Monitoring
You will monitor the floor-level implementation of hazard prevention controls, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP safety management systems. Direct observation on the production floor allows you to identify and correct issues in real time.
6. Internal Audits and Non-Conformance Tracking
You will assist with structured internal quality audits, trace non-conformance errors, and compile technical logs for the Quality Manager. Thorough documentation supports continuous improvement and regulatory readiness.
7. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
You will support continuous improvement initiatives across production lines to minimize batch defects and material wastage. Small, consistent improvements lead to significant gains in efficiency and quality over time.
