Position Title: Accountant – Bullion Industry
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Accountant to join our finance team, specializing in the bullion and precious metals trading industry in Dubai.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional who understands the unique challenges of commodities trading, bullion transactions, and VAT compliance. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bullion trading transactions, accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Bullion Trading Accounting
You will manage day-to-day accounting operations to meet management and bullion trading transaction targets. You will record all purchases, sales, and transfers of precious metals accurately.
2. VAT Compliance
You will maintain 100% precision in VAT compliance and UAE tax requirements. You will prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time.
3. Inventory Tracking
You will liaise with the human resources department and trading teams to facilitate professional organizational reporting and inventory tracking of precious metal stock movements.
4. Reconciliations
You will perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts, and bullion stock to ensure accuracy.
5. Financial Planning
You will monitor expenses and facilitate accurate financial planning and budgeting activities.
6. GL Management
You will utilize digital information technology tools and general ledger systems to ensure accuracy in all precious metal stock movements and financial transactions.
Requirements

- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional field is required.
- Professional Certification: ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Proven professional ability within an accounting role, preferably in trading or commodities sector.
- VAT Knowledge: Strong background in VAT compliance, taxation, and UAE financial regulations.
