Position Titles: Arabic Early Years Teacher / Arabic A Teacher / HOD Islamic (3 Positions)

Grammar School is currently hiring qualified and passionate educators for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026. Three positions are available:

Position 1: Arabic Early Years Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Early Years Instruction: Deliver high-quality Arabic language instruction to Early Years students (Foundation Stage) in accordance with British curriculum standards.
  • Lesson Planning: Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate Arabic lessons that develop foundational language skills including listening, speaking, and basic reading.
  • Student Assessment: Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive feedback to support early language development.
  • Play-Based Learning: Integrate play-based and interactive learning methodologies suitable for young learners.
  • Parent Communication: Liaise with parents regarding student progress and language development milestones.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a positive, nurturing, and language-rich classroom environment.

Position 2: Arabic A Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arabic Language Instruction: Deliver high-quality Arabic A instruction to students across Key Stages in accordance with British curriculum standards.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and conduct engaging lessons covering Arabic language, literature, grammar, and composition.
  • Student Assessment: Ensure 100% data integrity in student assessments, performance feedback, and curriculum tracking.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Exam Preparation: Prepare students for internal assessments and external Arabic examinations.
  • Cultural Enrichment: Promote appreciation of Arabic language, literature, and culture.

Position 3: Head of Department (HOD) – Islamic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Departmental Leadership: Lead the Islamic Education department, including curriculum planning, development, and implementation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Islamic Studies teachers within the department.
  • Curriculum Development: Ensure the Islamic curriculum aligns with British curriculum standards and KHDA requirements.
  • Academic Excellence: Monitor student achievement in Islamic Studies and implement improvement strategies.
  • Resource Management: Manage departmental resources, textbooks, and teaching materials.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to school-wide academic planning and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Liaise with parents and the wider community regarding Islamic education programs.

Shared Responsibilities (All Positions)

  • British Curriculum Alignment: Deliver instruction in accordance with British curriculum standards and school policies.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate student records, assessment data, and curriculum documentation.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with the human resources department, departmental leads, and school leadership.
  • Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development and school improvement initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize digital information technology tools and learning management systems to optimize lesson delivery.
  • Positive Learning Environment: Foster a respectful, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere.

Requirements

To be considered for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Essential Requirements (All Positions):

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Arabic, Islamic Studies, or a relevant subject specialization.
  • Police Clearance: A mandatory Home Country Police Clearance certificate is required.
  • British Curriculum Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional teaching experience within a British Curriculum school (3 years for HOD Islamic role).
  • KHDA/MOE Approval: Eligibility for KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) or MOE (Ministry of Education) approval.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Native or near-native Arabic proficiency for Arabic teaching roles.
  • Classroom Management: Strong background in classroom discipline, student engagement, and positive behavior management.
  • Soft Skills: Commitment to academic success, operational excellence, strong organizational skills, and eligibility for UAE labour approvals.

HOD Islamic Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Curriculum development expertise
  • Departmental planning and staff supervision skills
